About the Journal

Launched in August 2024. Global Strategic Pulse: CISSS Journal of Geopolitical & Geo-economic Studies (GSP) is a double-blind peer-reviewed biannual research Journal published by the Center for International Strategic Studies Sindh (CISSS) in accordance with the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

The Journal publishes original and fact-based research papers on traditional and non-traditional security challenges, geopolitical and geo-economic issues, global power contestation, emerging technologies, global and regional developments impacting strategic stability and peaceful uses of nuclear and space technologies. The Journal also welcomes reviews of books written by prominent authors on related issues. 

GSP welcomes original research papers on important geopolitical and geo-economic issues including great power competition, evolving global and regional security environment, transnational security challenges, arms control and disarmament, nuclear safety and security, deterrence and strategic stability, India’s counterforce temptations against Pakistan, 5th generation warfare, cybersecurity, emerging technologies including AI, Lethal Autonomous Weapon Systems (LAWS), militarization of space, drone warfare, peaceful uses of nuclear and space technologies for sustainable development, global climate change and connectivity and development for shared prosperity. GSP shall also welcome research papers on issues impacting the socioeconomic development of Pakistan, in particular Sindh province.
