About the Journal
Launched in August 2024. Global Strategic Pulse: CISSS Journal of Geopolitical & Geo-economic Studies (GSP) is a biannual research publication of the Center for International Strategic Studies Sindh (CISSS) focusing on traditional and non-traditional security challenges including global and regional strategic issues. GSP is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal conforming to the standards set by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
Current Issue
The first issue of GSP (Summer 2024, Volume I, Issue I) contains five research papers: (i) Prospects for Regional Connectivity between Central and South Asia: Role of Afghanistan and Pakistan; (ii) Indian Nuclear Doctrine: Reassessing the Strategic Ambiguities; (iii) Hindutva: History, Resurgence, and Its Regional & Global Implications Under the Modi Regime; (iv) Tracing the Genesis of Hybrid Warfare; and (v) Assessing Socioeconomic Impact of 2022 Floods in Sindh. The Journal also includes two book reviews: (i) How States Think: The Rationality of Foreign Policy by John J. Mearsheimer and Sebastian Rosato; and (ii) The Next Space Race: A Blueprint to American Primacy by Richard M. Harrison and Peter A. Garretson.
