The Last War: How AI Will Shape India's Final Showdown with China by Pravin Sawhney
Abstract
Pravin Sawhney’s The Last War presents a thought-provoking analysis of India's military preparedness, arguing that India’s military is ill-equipped for any possible future war with China, as the latter has embedded high warfare
technologies and artificial intelligence in its military infrastructure. Swahney, a defence analyst, has highlighted the weaknesses in India’s strategic thinking and over-reliance on outdated warfare technologies. China, he argues, has
moved to “intelligentized warfare” for battlefield analytics, cyber war and autonomous decision-making (p.242). The book critiques India’s military establishment and the changing nature of warfare in the 21st century.
